The Danish Cycling Federation has chosen Canadian high-end bike manufacturer Argon 18 to be the official bike supplier of the Danish Track Cycling Team for the upcoming Summer Olympics that will take place in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 to August 21, 2016.
"After making a strong statement at the Tour de France with our road products, we intend to make another by positioning ourselves as leaders in the track bike industry while participating in the most prestigious event in this discipline," says Gervais Rioux, Argon 18's Founder and President. "In a way, we are back to basics, 28 years after I took part in the Games myself."
Argon 18 has been offering the Electron and Electron Pro track bikes for several years now. These bikes also constitute the permanent fleet of the Canadian National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario. This velodrome was used as a test platform for Argon 18's Research and Development team to ensure that the Danish Cycling Federation's new bike is the fastest and most efficient possible. Back in Denmark, following the initial prototype tests, the team's riders loved the competitive advantage that this new frame, specifically designed for them, provides.
