The U23 and Elite men will race 18 laps of the ten kilometre circuit, for a total of 180 kilometres. The race begins at 1:00 pm (Eastern), and the temperature is expected to be over 30 Celcius, so this will be a race of attrition. In addition to European-based professionals, such as Hugo Houle (AG2R la mondiale), Svein Tuft (Orica-GreenEdge) and Ryan Anderson (Direct Energie), expected aggressive racing by North American squads Silber, Rally and H&R Block, who have the numbers. Yesterday saw the Junior races both end in sprints, however, Annie Foreman-Mackey (The Cyclery-Opus) won solo, after the domestic teams effectively neutralized the Euro-pros.
