Today is the final cycling event of the Rio Olympic games, the men's cross country mountain bike (XCO).

The race is expected to be a showdown between the three men who have dominated the World Cup all season: Nino Schurter (World Champion), Julien Absalon and Jaroslav Kulhavey (defending champion 2012).

Canada has two entries, Léandre Bouchard and Raphaël Gagné (see start lists below).

Course is 4.84 km and the men will do a start loop +7 full laps

Start time 12:30 pm local Brazil (11:30 am ET, 8:30 am PT)
