With an average age of just under 20 the NCCH Elite p/b MGCC will no doubt be the youngest Trade Team in Canada in 2017!
"We have selected young riders that have potential, the commitment, and are good role models for our Youth to look up to," said Team Sport Director Rick Lee. "We will have other personnel working as Sport Directors as required, so are confident we have a great mix of skills, young eager riders, and the program to show our noses at the business end of races."
The final line up for the Elite Women is yet to be decided, yet it will be a competitive one that will include multiple Junior National Champions Amy Bell and Hillary Lowry, Kaitlyn Steeves, and others who will be named at a later date.
As the program matures, it is the stated goal to have predominantly homegrown talent on the team, however, we feel privileged to be able to recruit and include some top talent outside the area for 2017 - three international riders will live and train in the area, and will be available to assist with the other youth development programs being conducted by the NCCH/MGCC partnership.
The U23/Elite team currently consists of 13 riders, with some additions to be made throughout the winter months.
Jordann Jones - Jerseyville
Rafael Soares Gomes da Silva - Brazil
Daniel Rae - Gold Coast, Australia
Martin Rupes - Toronto
Adam Lefebvre - Oakville
Ben McNabb - Collingwood
Brian Moore - Bracebridge
Cam Connor - Toronto
Vivien Rindisbacher - USA (U19)
David Lewis - Perth, Australia
