RBC Training Ground is a talent identification and athlete funding program designed to uncover athletes with Olympic potential and provide them with the high-performance sport resources they need to achieve their podium dreams. Track cyclist Patrice St-Louis Pivin was one of the 25 athletes identified in 2016 - Quebec Cyclist Receives RBC Training Ground Support.
The 2017 program was successfully launched this past weekend in Langley, BC, where 73 athletes participated. It moves to Prince George, BC, for this weekend, and then on to four other stops in BC in February/March before moving east to Alberta for the month of April. It will also visit Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
Cycling Canada is one of the partner NSOs involved in the program this year, with Curt Harnett as a program advocate.
