When Norco announced its mountain bike cross-country team for 2017, a number of names were left off the new roster, including Evan McNeely and Andrew L'Esperance.  The pair decided to launch their own team, Forward Racing-Norco.  They have been joined by 2016 Junior national champion Sean Fincham, who has graduated to the Under-23 ranks.

McNeely and L'Esperance have multiple Canada Cup wins, with L'Esperance the defending Canada Cup champion.  They have represented Canada at numerous world championships and World Cups.  Fincham finished eighth at the 2016 world championships.

Norco continues to support the riders as the equipment sponsor, plus some technical support at races.  Other sponsors include SRAM, Kenda tires, Smith, Clif Bar and Sugoi.
