Gatineau Park Request for Info

On Saturday, October 23, 2000 two members of the NCMBA had an informal meeting with a representative of the National Capital Commission (NCC). Bryan Flannigan, NCMBA President, and Peter Theysen, Secretary Treasurer, met with Michel Dallaire at the Visitor Centre in Chelsea to initiate relations between the two organizations.
The NCC extended an invitation to mountain bike riders in the National Capital region to meet Gatineau park staff during their upcoming visitors days.
Sunday October 29th and Sunday November 5th from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Visitor Centre, 33 Scott Rd. Chelsea, Quebec.
The NCC is looking for comments, observations and input on their services as well as opinions on the future development of the trail program.
The NCMBA believes it is important to have representation from as many National Capital mountain bike riders as possible at these two sessions.
Your input can and will make a difference!
Please try to find time to drop by the Visitor Centre and provide the NCC with feedback. The NCMBA believes the following points are important to remember when considering your opinions regarding the NCC’s trail program:
- Do you feel the trails are in good condition?
- Do you feel the trails are compatible with the natural environment?
- Do you feel the trails meet your needs?
- Do you feel the trails are well marked?
- Would you like to see more trails opened to mountain bikes?
