Leah Kirchmann is one of three women on our ballot for the 2017 Canadian Cyclist of the Year Award. Leah is originally from Winnipeg, but now calls Dundas, Ontario, home - when she is not in Europe racing with the UCI Division 1 team of Sunweb. Leah capped her season off with her first world title as a member of Team Sunweb in the Team Time Trial, in Bergen, Norway, as well as finishing with the lead group in the road for 12th place. Leah also won the UCI Gatineau Road Race, was third at WorldTour Vargarda Road Race and part of the winning squad at the Vargarda TTT and is ranked fourth overall in the UCI Women's Tour stage race. Domestically, Leah won the National criterium title and was second in the Nationals ITT. Below are video interviews with Leah from the Road Nationals and the World Championship.
