UHC's Diana Peñuela took the win on the opening stage of Joe Martin, attacking on the final climb to take the victory by 2 seconds over Jennifer Luebke ((Hagens Berman/Supermint) and Edwige Pitel (Wolfpack p/b Hyperthreads) by 4 seconds.
Top Canadian was Sara Bergen (Rally Cycling) at 14 seconds.
