On day one of the 2018 Pan American Continental Cyclo-cross Championships, in Midland, Ontario, riders faced every conceivable kind of weather - sun, rain, snow and hail. It didn't stop the more than 140 riders in the Masters categories from racing hard for the jerseys awarded to the Continental champions.
Local rider Lisa Holmgren won 45-54 Women's race
Former Pro Adam Myerson won 45-54 Men's race
Titles were awarded in eight categories, ranging from 35-44 years to 65-plus for women and men. The largest category for women was the 35-44 age group with 13 entrants, with the 44-54 men fielding an impressive 52 starters.
