Whistler World Cup Replacement
From a usually reliable source we have learned that Grouse has the inside line on being the replacement World Cup for the defunct Whistler event. Gestev, organizer of multiple World Cups and world championships, is putting together the bid. Since Grouse is not a suitable venue for a downhill, the proposal will be to hold the downhill at Mont Ste Anne, Quebec a few days before the cross-country and dual are held at Grouse. A decision is expected within the next week.
