The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) has released their annual report for 2017-2018, and it includes anti-doping testing statistics for the period April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018. Cycling was the most tested individual sport in the period, and was second overall to U Sports - the governing body for university sports in Canada that includes 12 different sports in 56 schools.

Cycling had a total of 296 tests - 122 in Competition and 174 Out of Competition. Para-cycling is listed separately with 26 tests (6 IC, 20 OC), giving a combined total of 322 for all cycling disciplines. U Sports totalled 518 (226 IC, 292 OC). The next highest sport in testing was Athletics at 273 (86 IC, 187 OC), followed by Speed Skating at 191 (43 IC, 148 OC).

During the period in question, Cycling had two riders sanctioned - road cyclist David Drouin [see Drouin Receives Four Year Suspension] and Masters cyclist Gerard-Louis Robert [see Quebec Masters Athlete Receives 8 Year Anti-doping Sanction].
