DH Camps

Pro downhiller Shaums March is offering training camps at a number of the Norba National series events this season, including Mount Snow and Big Bear. He is also planning one at Sun Peaks in B.C. The camps are open to racers of all ages. The camp provides bikes (limited), mechanics, pro downhiller coaches and shuttles. USA Cycling has taken a very forward looking approach to downhill by sanctioning the camps. For information go to www.shaums.com.


Team Troubles?

It appears that the Noble Division III road team announced last fall (Daily News, December 6, 2000) may be having cashflow problems before it even gets to one race. Canadians Dominique Perras and Alex Lavallee were both signed to the team, but Perras is already starting to put his name out for a new ride. We have contacted the team, but have received no response so far.
