Mercenary Racing

We reported earlier that Dominique's Perras' new team (Noble) appears to have gone out of business before the season has even begun. Dom is therefore racing on his own at this point while searching for a new squad. He is down in California, and just sent a report in from Visalia.

"Hello everyone,

Just some brief news about the Visalia Road race that was held earlier on today in Visalia, California. It was the second race on the USPRO calendar, on a circuit with 2 small climbs.

After some attacks more or less neutralized by the ever raging battle between Mercury and Saturn, we came down to a group of 20 or so (including, as usual, 6-7 Mercury and as many Saturn) together, finishing just behind Saturn's Mark McCormack who soloed about 5 sec ahead of our group. Despite a loose handlebar (just got a new bike) that forced me to sprint seated, I managed to finish in 10th. Enough to make a bit of money to be able to eat this week...At least I felt pretty good today, if I continue in this trend I shall be going pretty well for Redlands and Sea Otter."
