Under sunny skies, BC's strongest showed up to challenge the 2019 edition of Jeremy's Roubaix on the scenic roads and gravel dykes in Pitt Meadows, BC.

Dylan Davies (Langlois Brown Racing) took the win in the 100km Men's Cat 1/2 race.  Davies got into an early break with Trek Red Truck's Alexander Fraser-Maraun, which was then joined by Red Truck's Kyle Buckosky with two laps to go.  With Fraser-Maraun dropping back, and the peloton bearing down on the now 2-man break, Davies and Buckosky held on until the finish, with Davies unleashing an explosive sprint to win the race.

Showing that size doesn't matter, the small pack of Cat 1/2 women put on a relentless display of hard, tenacious racing, and finished the 80km distance in one of the fastest times in the history of Jeremy's Roubaix. The teams of Trek Red Truck Racing and InstaFund La Prima came out throwing blows while lone wolves like Maggie Coles-Lyster (Pickle Juice Pro Cycling) held onto her own.

The fast-paced group was together heading into the last 1 km of gravel with Trek Red Truck teammates Brenna Pauly and Holy Simonson setting the pace before the long 500 metre sprint to the finish. Coles-Lyster, who is coming off winning the Sprinters Classification at the Chico Stage Race, took the lead in the last 200 metres and never looked back.  Simonson followed in second while Michelle Schaeffer, InstaFund La Prima came third.

"Despite the small field size, it was one of the most aggressive Jeremy Roubaix's with a great vibe in the peloton. A women's race Jeremy himself would of supported." commented Coles-Lyster.

Jeff Werner (Langlois Brown Racing) continued in his season long domination in the Masters Men category by breaking away with two laps to go and taking the victory.  Matt Usborne won the bunch sprint for second while Dean Broomham (Langlois Brown Racing) rounded out the top three.

"What a great day.  We had BC's best racers come out and put on an amazing display of hard, aggressive racing, with sunny skies to boot!"  commented race organizer Barry Lyster.

Other results had Carsten Ivany (Giant Vancouver) won the Cat 3 men's category, Emilly Johnston (Pendrel Racing) won Cat 3 women's,  Steve Van Knotsenburg (Jukebox Cycling Team) won Cat 4 men's and Sandra Shinnel (Escape Velocity) won Cat 4 women's.

In the youth categories, 13-year old Maple Ridge resident Katrin Rytir took the girls win while Jesse Bayard (Devo p/b Fortius) won the boys.
