Rolling into its 18th year, the Ride for Karen is a yearly cycling event that raises money to support children living with cancer. This year's ride will take place on Sunday, August 25th. Riders will begin their journey at the Ballantrae Community Centre in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
Hundreds of cyclists will take to the roads to support children living with cancer. We'd greatly appreciate your support in helping us spread awareness of this annual cycling event. Brothers Kirk and Kris Tobias would be thrilled to speak to your team and talk about what this ride means to them and the communities they support.
A tribute to the life and legacy of Karen Tobias, the Ride for Karen was started by her sons in 2002. Since then, the event has raised more than $2,600,000 to help build and furnish new cancer care facilities, provide much needed resources for cancer support centres and send kids with cancer to camp. 100% of money raised goes to charities that provide programs for children with cancer and their families, such as Camp Quality, Camp Oochigeas and Camp Trillium.
