Trek Red Truck Racing has secured a deal with Cannondale for the 2020 season, which brings to a close Trek's 25-year sponsorship of the BC-based team, which will be renamed Red Truck Racing P/B Mosaic Homes. The deal was brought about through La Bicicletta Vancouver.

Team Director, Steve Engh, expresses his gratitude for Trek's many years of support that helped turn the team into one of the preeminent, longest running and most successful amateur cycling teams in Canada.

Engh stated: "We will see some changes with Cannondale as a new bike sponsor and talented new riders on the team, but the structure will be more or less the same. We will continue to support our young athletes on the road and with their educational pursuits."

The men's roster will consist of five returning riders (Clarke Lind, Al Murison, Kyle Buckosky, Alexander Fraser Maraun and Chris MacLeod) and four new riders (Jake Cullen, Cole Glover, Pat Riddell and Baili Guidi).

Lind, who placed 1st in the Penticton Granfondo and 3rd at the Canadian National Triathlon Championships in 2019, will serve as team mentor. Murison, who has achieved a number of top 10 finishes in BC Superweek over the past couple of seasons and was 2nd in the 2019 Whistler Granfondo, will act as team captain. Buckosky won the overall at EV Stage Race in 2019; Fraser Maraun recently won all three local hill climbs (Cypress, Seymour and Baker); and MacLeod has strong results locally. As for the new men's signings, Cullen won Race the Ridge Road Race in 2019; and Riddell, and Glover and Guidi have all achieved a number of top 10 results in local Cat 1/2 races.

The women's roster includes three returning riders (Holly Simonson, Brenna Pauly and Sarah Van Dam) and three new riders (Zoe Saccio, Holly Henry and Jenna Nestman).

Simonson won the Under 23 Women's BC Road Championships in 2019; Pauly won the Senior category of the same event in 2019; and Van Dam placed 2nd at the 2019 National Criterium Championships. Saccio has a strong record on both the road and track; Henry finished 10th overall at the Whistler Granfondo; and Nestman has achieved podium results at the Canadian National Track Championships.

The team thanks its many longtime sponsors for their continued support of the team. The team's new website, which will be up shortly, is redtruckracing.ca.
