The 10th annual Uxbridge Icebreaker lived up to tradition by providing riders with a combination of snow, ice and a little mud. This was combined with cool -5 temperatures, and made for a great early season outing. 442 frosty polar bears challenge the logging roads and trails at the Durham forest just south of Uxbridge. The traditional breaking of the block of ice was carried on this year, releasing a #10 number plate to recognize the anniversary.

"Iceslider Alley" lived up to its reputation and there were numerous "bobsled runs" that were fast and well groomed. The sometimes notorious "arctic death march" made an appearance again this year leaving the riders with a short 500m walk/run through some sugar snow. Thanks to all who participated especially those new to the tradition of breaking the ice on the new mountain bike season.
