Ron Hayman, founder of the Hayman Classic stage race in Penticton, BC, for Junior and younger-aged riders has contacted us to pass on the word that the event is cancelled for this year, another victim of the pandemic.

It is with regret that I am writing to announce the 2020 HC is cancelled. We just received word from the City that all events through May are cancelled. It also seems that the Corona situation will not improve for some time - and even if things open up in May, there will likely be little interest in attending this stage race.

Thank you to all those who attended and everyone who supported this event. I am continually reminded of the impact it has had in developing young cyclists in Canada. Without all the volunteers clubs, parents, sponsors & supporters, and of course Cycling BC, this race could not have happened.
