Under COVID-19 Return to Play guidelines, the Westshore velodrome on Vancouver Island will host a GVVA Track Time Trial Challenge on Saturday, August 22nd - an affordable day of racing against the clock! All categories, from U11 to Masters 55+, will be able to participate.

GVVA Track Time Trial Challenge Schedule
In conformance with COVID-19 distancing rules, only time trial events have been scheduled. In order to limit the number of riders, coaches, officials and spectators, the event has been divided into three separate groups:
Masters
Warm-Up - 8:30 am to 9:00 am
9:00 am to 11:00 am
• Flying 200 Metre Time Trial - 2.5 laps, timed on the final 200 metres.Starting from the back straight.
• Time Trial -500 metres
• Individual Pursuit - 3K (9 laps) Masters 35-44 and 2K (6 laps) Masters 45-54, 55plus
Youth
Warm-Up - 11:00 am to 11:30 am
11:30 am to 2:00 pm
• Flying 200 Metre Time Trial - 2.5 laps, timed on the final 200 metres. Starting from the back straight.
• Time Trial - either 500 metres (1.5 laps) or 333 metres (1 lap)
• Individual Pursuit - 2K(6 laps) - U15, U17, U19 W and 1K (3 laps) - U11, U13
Elite/Adult/U19
Warm-Up - 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm
2:30 pm to 5:00 pm
• Flying 200 Metre Time Trial - 2.5 laps, timed on the final 200 metres. Starting from the back straight.
• Time Trial - 1000 metres (kilo) Men, 500m Senior Women
• Individual Pursuit - 4K(12 laps) Senior Men and 3K (9 laps) Senior Women, U19 Men
COVID-19 Rules Summary
• Face masks to be worn when in close contact with others
• Spectators are welcome but must maintain social distancing
• No cars are permitted by the clubhouse
• Hand sanitizers will be available for frequent use
• Please maintain social distancing when visiting the washroom or bike storage areas
Please note that the schedule is subject to change, depending on the number of entrants. Secondly, we will be limiting the number of riders on the track at any one time during the warmup sessions.
Youth Overall Recognition
Each youth category will recognize the top-three overall - lowest combined times of all three events: flying 200, time trial and individual pursuit.
