The University of Toronto, Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, is conducting an exercise research project in sport performance and looking for cyclists to participate.
The primary objective of this study is to determine the effect of interval work-bout duration during training on time-trial performance in cyclists. The study is open to individuals between the ages of 18 and 45. You must have been training consistently as a cyclist for at least the last six months and need to have your own bicycle, smart trainer and heart rate monitor.
Participants will be randomly allocated to 1 of 4 interval training groups (your team). The project will consist of six weeks of interval training on your smart trainer, on your own schedule. You will be provided with an anonymized TrainerRoad account. Information regarding the platform can be found at: www.trainerroad.com.
