The second round of the cross-country Canada Cup and UCI Junior Series in Baie-Saint-Paul, Quebec, scheduled for June 4-6, has been postponed. While there is no new official date for the event to take place, the organizers have published on their website the tentative dates of September 25-26. Their GP Cycliste MicroBrasserie Charlevoix (originally scheduled for June 11-13) is now rescheduled to August 7-8, and the Granfondo Charlevoix will take place on August 8th. All of these dates need to be confirmed by the UCI and Cycling Canada.

"We feel like we are living Groundhog Day [the movie], with Spring 2020 repeating itself, but it had become impossible to sustain our events in June. Fingers crossed for August and September," said Vélo Charlevoix co-president Sylvain Desmeules."I must admit that the situation is frustrating for everyone. There are so many volunteer hours invested in this organization that the word resilience is weak to illustrate the state of mind. But like a cyclist climbing a long, steep slope, we tell ourselves that there is no question of giving up."

In other Canadian event news - Kentville, Nova Scotia, has cancelled their cross-country Canada Cup and UCI Junior Series event, scheduled for August 14-15. They intend to return next year.

Additionally, the opening rounds in Quebec for the BMX Canada Cups in Drummondville (June 19-20) and Haut-Richelieu (June 26-27) may be postponed to later in the season.
