The Foundation Sport-Études has rewarded academic excellence, excellence sport and the perseverance of 83 student-athletes as part of the second edition of the Sports-Studies Celebration. Four cyclists were among the 83 athletes that received $1500 scholarships for Academic Excellence, Perseverance, or Academic and Athletic Success.
The Sport-Études Foundation is privileged to be able to count on the generosity of its partners: the Desjardins Foundation, RDS, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (LHJMQ), the Cégep à distance, Auclair Sports and SRAM. This support is all the more important in this particular context.
"This year, all student-athletes would have deserved recognition," said Sébastien Fyfe, Managing Director of Alliance Sport-Études and of the Sport-Études Foundation. "Rather than the usual challenges injuries and schedule sometimes overloaded by training and the competitions, they had to face isolation, uncertainty, event cancellation, adaptation to virtual reality and the lack of competitions and training. The 2021 national scholarship recipients have distinguished themselves at through this year out of the ordinary and are therefore doubly deserving ."
