In addition to adding title sponsor EF Education First and moving onto the women's WorldTour stage, Team TIBCO SVB (now EF Education - TIBCO SVB) has announced the addition of two Canadian riders to it's roster for next season -Sara Poidevin and Magdeleine Vallieres-Mill.

Poidevin comes from Rally Cycling, for whom she has ridden in the past six years, including finishing third in the road race at this year's national championships. Vallieres-Mill, who swept the Junior national road titles in 2019, has ridden in Europe for the UCI's World Cycling Centre Team for the past two seasons.

14 riders will take Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank's first step as a WorldTour outfit in 2022, racing as EF Education-TIBCO-SVB. The team will focus primarily on World Tour road races and include plenty of gravel.

"In putting the team together for next year, we put a big focus on identifying and developing the future stars," team director Rachel Hedderman said. "I'm really excited about the team we have assembled. We have some great young and new riders that I think we can expect to see some big surprises from, as well as some more experienced riders who can hit the ground running."

"In adding two more young riders in Magdeleine (Vallieres-Mills) and Letizia (Borghesi), we've focused on finding the talent of the future. I'm really looking forward to developing these riders and seeing what they can achieve," Hedderman said.

In stepping up to World Tour status, the team has substantially expanded its management team and is pleased to announce several additions/changes to the management infrastructure.

Team founder Linda Jackson, who represented Canada at the 1996 Olympics, said, "We spent a lot of time looking for the right people to fill the spots to take this team forward. It was important to me to bring on people that were excited about the future of women's cycling and wanted to work with the women's peloton. I believe we have found those people, and I am excited to see them work together to take this team to the top."

After three years of successfully directing the team, Rachel Hedderman will step up to the general manager position.

"Rachel's passion for women's cycling and dedication to the team makes her the perfect candidate to lead this team," Jackson said.
