The competition schedule for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, has been finalized and released. Cycling is spread throughout the length of the Games, with events taking place every day, due to the many disciplines involved.
The first cycling competitions will be the women's and men's Individual Time Trials, which will take place on the first day of competition, July 27th. It should be noted that this is the first day of competition after the Opening Ceremonies (the night before), since a few sports have preliminary rounds that take place before the official start of the Games.
Mountain Bike is the next, on Days 2 and 3 - July 28th (men) and 29th (women). It is followed by two days of BMX Freestyle on Day 4 (July 30th) and Day 5 (July 31st). Medals in Freestyle will be awarded on the second day (Day 5).
BMX Racing is next (Days 6 and 7) on August 1st and 2nd - the first day is opening rounds with no medals awarded. The Road Races take place on Days 8 and 9 - August 3rd (men) and 4th (women).
The Cycling events will conclude with seven days of Track competition, starting on August 5th (Day 10), and finishing on the final day (Day 16) of the Games, August 11th. Medals will be awarded each day, with a couple (Days 12 and 14) having double sessions - the early ones for qualifying rounds in selected events.
