The Canadian women's sprint squad finished the first round of the Nations Cup on Sunday, in Glasgow, Scotland, with one medal of each colour. After winning silver in the Team Sprint on Thursday [Sarah Orban, Kelsey Mitchell and Lauriane Genest], Mitchell took gold in the Sprint competition on Friday. On Sunday, both Genest and Mitchell made it to the six-rider final of the Keirin, with Genest winning bronze. Mitchell finished sixth.
The next round of the Nations Cup takes place in two weeks at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario.
