Date Changes
There have been a few date changes to the National Calendar (we will be updating our Calendars section to reflect the changes):
Victoria Track World Cup changes to May 27-29
The Road World Cup (Women) will be held in Montreal, not Ottawa
Mountain Bike Nationals are August 14 - 16
The Professional Tour has changes its name to Trans-Canada 1998
Yes, there is a Vet category at the Road Nationals!
(so you can stop callling the CCA to complain!)
What are you doing on Easter long weekend?
What about a little trip to the Burnt Bridge International Classic in Shawnigan Lake (Victoria) BC. This is the season opener of the National calendar. If you are counting your UCI points - this is the place to add to your total since Burnt Bridge is an international E event. If you are looking for BC Cup points - Burnt Bridge is the place to go, as it is the first BC Cup of the season. If you are racing in the pee-wee, minime, cadet and junior category - this Island Cup Series event is waiting for you. You're not a cyclist but a runner? Burnt Bridge has a cross-country race for you. The program - cross-country mountain biking and running race, downhill (best run out of two), kids' race and Easter egg hunt. Check our website at http://www.pro-competition.com for additional information, registration form, start time, map, etc. So what are you doing on Easter long weekend?
Quebec Ride List
(courtesy Erik Audet)
The RAGE web page is under construction! The site will enable mountain bikers near Quebec City to subscribe to a distribution list to announce group rides. The groups will be separated as Sport (riders who usually race), Weekend warrior (riders who do not race but are in excellent shape) and Social (riders who are beginners or would enjoy riding while meeting new people).
This site will be available in the next few months. Everybody is welcome. Take a look at our Boston RAGE web site for a preview: http://www.rageMTB.com/
Survey
We would like to thank everybody who has participated in our Website Survey. The information that we are gathering from the survey is extremely helpful in fine-tuning the site. So, if you have filled out the survey, thanks - and if you haven‚t, we would appreciate it if you could take just a minute or so to do so.
