Giro Stage Cancelled
Today's 18th stage of the Giro d'Italia - one of the hardest, with 5 mountain passes - has been cancelled after police conducted night time raids on all teams. Many 'products' were removed from team rooms, and will be analyzed by authorities (lots of rumours are flying around about what has been found, but nothing is confirmed). After meetings between rider representatives, race organizers and UCI President Hein Verbruggen, the stage was cancelled and there are still some doubts about the rest of the Giro. However, at this point it appears that the riders will start tomorrow.
