December 13/23 9:59 am - Catharine Pendrel Inducted into New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame

World champion and Olympic medallist Catharine Pendrel will be inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame into 2024. Although long based in Kamloops, BC, Pendrel originally hails from Harvey Station, New Brunswick. The mountain biker won an Olympic bronze medal, two individual world championship titles, 12 World Cups, three overall World Cup titles and both Commonwealth and Pan Am Games titles. Pendrel is now the national mountain bike coach.

"It's a very cool honour to be inducted into the NB Hall of Fame. New Brunswick, as the place I grew up and learned to ride, has always been such a huge supporter of my career."

"We are very proud to announce the addition of these inspiring athletes and sport builders into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame" said Jane Arseneau, Board of Governors Chairperson. "We are also very excited to recognize the Town of Tantramar as the host community for our 54th annual Induction Gala." The six inductees will be inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame on June 1, 2024, at the Marjorie Young Bell Convocation Hall on Mount Allison University Campus. The achievements of these inductees will join the legacy of over 700 fellow Hall of Famers enshrined in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame since it was formed in 1970.
