Isabella Holmgren, in her first year of Under-23 women at the Cyclo-cross World Championships, in Tabor, Czechia, finished fourth. Zoe Backstedt of Great Britain completely dominated the race, taking the lead in the first kilometre and riding away to win by over forty seconds. Home favourite Kristyna Zemanova (Cze) attacked in the final lap to take silver ahead of Leonie Bentveld (Ned).

Isabella and her sister Ava, who finished 1-2 at the Worlds last year as Juniors, started on the front line, but were quickly swarmed in the first 500 metres, dropping back out of the top-10. Ava moved back into the top-5 within a lap, but Isabella took more time to work her way back up, catching Ava in seventh on Lap 3, and then moving up three more spots in the last lap. Isabella's final lap, at 11:55, was the third fastest of the race, with only Backstedt faster in the opening two laps. Another kilometre might have seen her challenging for the bronze medal. Madeleine Pollock finished 27th.
