Canadian rider Isabella Holmgren has had an incredible season so far - double world champion at the recent Mountain Bike World Championships in the XCC and XCO, multiple World Cup wins, and second overall on the road in the Tour de l'Avenir, as well as winning the Climber's Jersey. All this in her first year as an Under-23 rider. We asked Isabella about her season so far:
"Going into the U23/Elite category I tried to not put many expectations on myself, results wise. Of course, I always expect to give 110% at every race, but going into a new category it's hard to know where you will be among the field.
"I think I surprised myself at the first MTB World Cup, and since then [I've] just had even more motivation to continue training and racing hard. It's been a really good season so far and I'm super grateful to Lidl Trek for supporting me throughout the year with all my different goals and races, and also for my family, who's always there cheering me on and being the biggest help on and off the bike."
