Switzerland’s Noemi Rüegg held on to the leader’s jersey to take the overall general classification after the Stirling stage.
Rüegg claimed the leaders jersey after her Stage 2 win on Saturday and with the help of her team held onto it.
The reigning road champion battled hard to stay out of danger during a hot stage and became the first Swiss woman to claim the Santos Tour Down Under’s top prize.
Rüegg finished Stage 3 Stirling to Stirling race in third place behind the stage winner American Chloe Dygert (Canyon//SRAM zondacrypto).
Canada’s Sarah van Dam (Ceratizit Pro Cycling Team) finished 5th on the stage at 1 second back and 11th overall at 1:03 back.
