Isabella Holmgren took her first pro win at the Durango-Durango Emakumeen Saria in Spain. The talented 19-year-old rider for Lidl-Trek attacked on the last climb of the day with just under ten kilometres from the finish, and quickly created a gap on the peloton, reaching the finish line alone with an 8 second advantage over Evita Muzic (FDJ-SUEZ).
Third place for Thalita De Jong (Human Powered Health), who beat a small group that arrived at the finish line 44 second behind and celebrated, mistakenly thinking she had won. This group also included the Italians Barbara Malcotti (Human Powered Health), 7th, and Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE Team ADQ), 9th on her return to racing after almost a month.
