Rafaelle Carrier (Equipe du Quebec) won the Junior women's road race national title on Saturday under some of the most brutal weather conditions imaginable. Sandrine Veilleux (Équipe du Québec) made it two-for-two for the host province by taking the Under-17 women's title.

The Junior and Under-17 women began in cold and heavy rain, facing temperatures of 10C, which didn't improve throughout the 87 kilometre race.
The first half of the race was one of attrition, before three riders managed to break clear - Carrier, time trial champion Sidney Swierenga (TaG) and Elodie Malois (Équipe du Québec). Malois couldn't maintain the pace and dropped back to the peloton, which was 1:20 behind with 30 kilometres to go. The lead duo rode together to the finish line, with Carrier outsprinting Swierenga for the title.
Elly Moore (Team Ontario) won the bunch sprint for third, with Sandrine Veilleux (Équipe du Québec) the top Under-17 finisher in the group.
