July 20/25 15:00 pm - France Sweeps Podium on Stage 6 of Abitibi

Team France has proven to be one of the strongest squads at this year's Tour de l'Abitibi, and on Stage 6 they confirmed their strength by finishing 1-2-3 on the 12 lap, 125 kilometre circuit race in Val d'Or. Alban Picard, the top rider in the Best Young Rider competition, took the win ahead of teammates Alexis Bouteloup and the overall race leader, Gabin Gicquel. All three finished 30 seconds ahead of the next rider, with the field at 46 seconds.
Picard moves up to second in the overall standings, 1:25 behind Gicquel, with Maxime Bourassa (Team Canada) dropping to third at 2:11. Gicquel continues to lead the Points competition, while Paul Hawrylak (France) regains the lead in the Climber's competition. France also overtook Canada in the Team Classification.
