Grouse Junior Expert XC

Nick Waite (Devo) held on beat Adam Coates (Bike Doctor) by 35 seconds in the Junior Expert men's cross-country, with Aaron Bradford third a further 10 seconds back. Ben Sigston (Oakley/Rocky) was fourth.

Coates - "It was a hard, tough course. I'm from Saskatchewan, I'm not use to these hills! I was a little dizzy just coming up the lift, looking down on Vancouver."

Overall, he was pleased with his result, "it was one of the most technical courses I have ever ridden on."

Alison Testroete (Harbour Air/Rocky) was the only finisher in the Junior women's event.
