Stage 7 - Strasbourg to Colmar 162.5 km

Laurent Jalabert (CSC Tiscali) has taken his second stage win of the Tour, on the French national holiday - Bastille Day. Jens Voight (Credit Agricole) finished second on the stage and took over the yellow jersey from team mate Stuart O'Grady. Jalabert and Voight were part of a 5 rider break that finished about 4 minutes in front of the peloton. Also in the break were Laurent Roux (Jean Delatour), Inigo Cuesta (Cofidis) and Ivan Basso (Fassa Bortolo) - who finished in that order. Jalabert took over the climbers jersey and Basso the Young Riders white jersey.
