Junior World Track Championships
Friday was an exciting day for Canada at the championships, but also a bit of sadness. Cameron Evans finished 5th in the points race, but crashed in the final lap. Because he was in the last lap, he got his points, but the crash broke his collarbone. The break is so bad it will most likely need surgery.
Laura Yoisten qualified 8th in the 200m in the morning and advanced. In the next round she won her heat and advanced to the 1/8 heats. She was defeated but raced in the 1/8 Repechage where she was 2nd in her heat and did not move on to the 1/4 finals.
