National Track Championships - Bromont, Quebec
We have just had a quick report from Fiona Morrow (CCA) to tell us that Clara Hughes (Quebec) decimated the women's field in the Scratch Race. The race was supposed to be 40 laps (10 kilometres), but ended with 15 laps to go when Clara finished lapping the entire field... Second was Mandy Poitras (BC), with Julia Bradley (Ontario) third.
Wanted: Canadians to Race in Brazil
Attention all Canadian Road Racers:
My team has been invited to Brazil to race in the Giro do Santa Catarina (UCI 2.5) from August 26th to Sept 7th. Unfortunately, some of my teammates are unable to make the trip, so I am looking to fill 2 spots for this race.
It is a great opportunity for any aspiring road racer to get some International race experience against some very stiff competition. The catch to this trip is that we have to pay our own way down to the race (I am using Air Miles). The race organizer will take care of our transportation to the stages (provide a team car), our accommodation, and food (3 meals per day).
If you have any questions regarding this opportunity or want to be considered for this project please email me tzarsadias@yahoo.ca
Be sure to send a race resume too!
