Dionne Wins San Francisco GP
Canada's Charles Dionne (7 Up) has won a 5 man sprint to take the 176 kilometre San Francisco GP. Also in the break were Lance Armstrong (USPS), Viatcheslav Ekimov (USPS), Henk Vogels (Mercury), Massimo Giunti (Acqua e Sapone) and Tom Leaper (Navigators). This means that Canadians have won both major one day races in the U.S. this year (Mark Walters, of course, took the US Pro Championship).
