An early break including the top 7 finishers stayed away and was never in danger of being caught, taking about 5 seconds per lap out of the peleton. About half way through the race, a Pavan trio driven by Don Zuck tried to bridge but was abdorbed by the bunch after three laps. At the line, MBRC's Brian Truman and Midweek C.C's Dave Fry pulled ahead by a few meters, Fry just edging out Truman in the straightest sprint of his career.
Note: There will be NO MONDAY or WEDNESDAY event next week - long weekend plus the National Championships in Woodstock.
Congratulations to Midweek juniors Brenden Hurley and Andrew Wilson on being selected to the Ontario squad for the Nationals
