Hamilton Cycling Club's Tuesday Evening Criterium July 30th
Courtest Sandy Cheskey
We had 48 riders come out on this hot, humid evening. There were several short-lived breakaways early in the ride. The breakaway group that stuck consisted of five contesting riders who maintained a gap of approximately 30 seconds over the pack. Finishing order was CHRIS PATON (Chris also won the 3-point prime), JAY MACLAREN, JEFF SHARAFBAYANI, AXEL BERGMAN and CARLOS BARROS. Exciting ride to watch, guys!
Special mention goes to CHRIS KIRIAKOPOULOS who had an outstanding ride and finished in the top ten in the pack!!! Way to go, Chris!
Also, we would like to welcome our newest Hamilton Cycling Club member, ADRIAN DAVIS who attended the Tuesday Crit for the first time tonight.
It was also great to see ANDY MAKAREWICH out to watch and help at the start/finish. Andy is recovering from a horrific accident in which a car hit him on his bike. Best wishes Andy for your continuing and speedy recovery.
Happy Birthday wishes to Marissa who turned 21 on July 30!!!!
