63 starters, 58 finishers
These were the only finishers in the top 10 who could be positively identified. There were 48 in the bunch sprint.
As a result of a number of riders, especially 3s and vets, riding dangerously and not staying within the designated course markers, the remaining events in the series will be held on the safe 2.2km circuit. Next Wednesday's event will be a scratch criterium with lapped riders pulled. We suggest that riders who are not likely to stay with the main field consider riding the Monday race on the same circuit.
Thanks to Jeff Archbold for helping with cone pick-up, Lorne Thompson and Michael Moore for marshalling and to Kit McCaffery for administering first aid to Jet Fuel's Maureen Naskar who hit a wheel and fell on her shoulder with one lap to go. Thanks also to those riders who gave helpful suggestions re: modifying the format.
