Langkawi Team Takes Shape
It is not official yet, but we have a good portion of the Team Canada roster for the 2003 Tour de Langkawi confirmed. As mentioned a couple of days ago, mountain bike world champion Roland Green will start off his season in Malaysia. Joining him will be fellow mountain biker Seamus McGrath, veteran Peter Wedge (road, mountain, cyclo-cross - take your pick...) and roadie Cory Lange. At least two more riders will be confirmed within the next week. Team manager will be national coach Yury Kacherine. The 2003 tour de Langkawi gets underway January 31st.
Hesjedal To Do Euro Program
One rider who will not be returning to Langkawi, it seems, is Ryder Hesjedal. After an impressive end-of-season try out with Rabobank, which included winning the Vuelta a Catalunya Avenir stage race, Hesjedal is set to do early season training and racing in Europe with the Rabobank.
Jenkins to Euro Squad
Hesjedal will be joined in Europe by Kai Jenkins, who will be riding for Club Avenir de Cyclisme Loir et Cher, or CAC 41 in Blois, France.
