Dominique Perras loin derrière

Montréal, le 19 février 2003 (Sportcom) - Le cycliste Andrea Ferrigato (Alessio) a enlevé la première des cinq étapes du Giro della Liguria, disputé sur 141 kilomètres entre Arenzano et Diano Marina, en Italie. L'athlète de 33 ans a devancé Paolo Bossoni (Sidermec) et Yaroslav Popovych (Landbouwkrediet-Colnago).

Dominique Perras, qui porte les couleurs de Flanders-Iteamnova, termine dans un peloton à dix minutes du vainqueur. " J'ai été pas mal occupé à couvrir des échappées ", a relaté Perras, qui aime bien cette escapade en Italie. " Il fait beau, environ 15 degrés, nous sommes au bord de la mer et l'organisation est excellente. "

Perras se fait aussi les jambes avec ce tour. " Aujourd'hui, nous avions une bonne côte à une vingtaine de kilomètres de l'arrivée. Nous aurons aussi d'autres étapes de moyenne montagne. Entre autres, dans la deuxième étape, nous aurons au moins quatre bonnes montées. "

Le départ de la deuxième étape sera donné de Pietra Ligure. La course se terminera 150 kilomètres plus loin à Andora.

Women's Learn To Race Clinics - Vancouver, BC

Purpose: To prepare beginning women riders for their first bike race. There are two race options on the weekend following the clinics:

June 14th - The Norm Lowe Memorial Road race in Hatzic Valley (www.teamsoliton.com)

June 15th - The Stanely Park Bike Festival (featuring The Brockton Criterium - www.stanleyparkbikefest.ca)

Basic on bike skills such as cornering, pace lines, group riding, sprinting
Pre-riding of the „Tuesday Nighter‰ race courses
