Helmet Wearing to be Compulsory
The International Cycling Union, in its support of the resolution adopted by the Management Committee of the CPA (Riders Association) confirmed its willingness to extend compulsory helmet wearing to professional riders. The statutory aspects of this initiative (financial penalties, loss of UCI points or other sanctions) are currently being studied by the relevant departments. The UCI feels that this preventive measure is extremely important in the context of modern cycling, and would like to introduce it as quickly as possible.
