Mont Ste. Anne - Downhill Qualifiers On Now Part 2

So much for the weather report from yesterday. Despite threatening clouds, the rain didn't happen. Instead we had huge winds that caused a lot of havoc in the pits/expo areas. Tents were lifted off the ground and dust was blowing everywhere. The winds are continuing today, but have lessened somewhat. The wind direction is causing concern for the downhillers. The big jump near the finish is causing them to get big air, then the strong cross winds are making them drift off line while airborne!
The temperature has returned to more normal levels in the mid 20's. From the staggering humidity of the last few days, we are now in dry air. Dust is now the issue. It is everywhere and blowing in sheets through the finish. The forest fire danger is also locally high. Some rain would have actually been welcome.
