B.C. Racing
Tomorrow is the Bastion Square Cycling G.P. in downtown Victoria.  Many of the teams competing at the track World Cup are planning on racing this 0.9 km criterium, so if you are in the area drop by.  Racing starts at 7:30 am for Novices, with the main events starting at noon.  Among the teams expected to attend are Chile, New Zealand, Germany, Russia, El Salvador, Canada.  Top Canadians racing include Alison Sydor, Roland Green (winner for the last two years) and Brian Walton.
Next weekend is the Comox Valley stage race, in Courtney on the Island.  The 3 stage race - road race and time trial on Saturday (June 6th), criterium on Sunday - offers races for all categories, and a $5000 prize list.  Check out the website for more information:  www.mars.ark.com/~cvcc
Canada Cup #1
Just a note from the organizers of the first Canada Cup mountain bike race - next weekend at Hardwood Hills, north of Barrie, Ontario.  Pre-registration has ended, with over 500 entries in.  A warning that you should not leave your accomodations until the last minute - this is high season in the Muskokas!
