White Spot Road Race

A break of 12 riders went away early in the pro men's race and quickly gathered up a 6 minute lead.

With all the teams represented in the break the pack was not eager to chase. Killing time was the job for the team riders and many of the local riders were complaining of the negative tactics. Next year you can expect the locals to be more organized and perhaps even join alliances to battle the Pro's.

All in all, a very good turn out for todays race estimated crowd was 5000. The Municipality of Delta did a fine job of organizing this years event. Every year more and more effort goes into the organization of the Tour de Delta and it's paying off. This year there were a record number of pro-teams in town to compete at the 3 day weekend event. Great job!
