Carnival Kick-off Critical Mass Ride and Roll Vancouver

On Friday, January 30, 2004, join fellow bicyclists, skaters, and bladers for a leisurely and spirited Carnival Kick-off roll and ride through the streets of Vancouver. Meet (rain, shine, or snow) at the Vancouver Art Gallery on the Georgia Street side between 5:00 to 5:30 p.m., and roll and ride at 6:00 p.m. Bring your instruments and dress-up Carnival style. Decorated bicycles, trailers, costumes, signs, noisemakers, sound systems, trailers, and wildly modified bicycles are all highly encouraged.

UBC Cyclists: Meet 4:30 p.m. on the South SUB Plaza for a group ride down to the Vancouver Art Gallery.

East Van Cyclists: Meet 4:00 p.m., leaves 4:30 p.m., from Grandview park on Commercial Drive for a group ride down to the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Celebrated around the world, Critical Mass is a grassroots reclamation of public space -- on the last Friday of the month -- which allows cyclists and other self-propelled people to move safely and comfortably through city streets in a car-free space. Non-polluting forms of transportation are promoted.

Robbie Burns Day at the Pumphouse Brewery

Our favourite brew pub in Moncton NB is having a Robbie Burns Day

Who says you can't stay warm wearin' a kilt in January?

We beg to differ, in fact, we will have the kilts here to prove it.
Come hear the swirl of pipes, a girth of tartan and an 'ode to the puddin' performed by Monctons own bard.

Be there early, fun starts at 7 pm, and WEAR YOUR KILTS
